One day I decided I didn't practice beat-matching enough and needed to improve my skills. I love great transitions, but the most interesting ones are not your standard cross-fade, so I don't practice it enough. So I made a shortlist, and set up the EQ and tore into some tracks. It ended up being 36 minutes.
It's another home mix I had fun making but kind of forgot about. Listened again today and was very surprised by the things I did in there and how much I like it. A lot of my absolute favourite 5-star tracks in there, a few from the first few CDs I ever got (only ever did buy about 10 CD's, the rest digital)
A lot of 5-cue-button playing in here.
All manual beatmatching (all I've ever done so far. one day when I can do 5 things at once, I might ask the machine to sync for me so I can do other things now and then, but not yet) and looping (sometimes I do use auto-looping at times when using many loops for a long time - when errors add up and multiply and perfection is necessary), one take
