I made this one by sampling all the notes (when one of the records plays) of a 70's Fisher-Price music box record player, including the on/off switch sound. I then played the song using the cue buttons on my Numark NS6 and other effects added in real time as I played or in the second and final run through. The "bass" is the sound of the on/off switch. All the sounds are only from the music box and recorded with a 30-dollar mic. It was intended that the familiar old folk song would be noticed at a certain time in the song, different for everyone. If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of the whirring wind-up motor of the music box.
